We understand that Domestic and Family Violence is not exclusive to physical violence and is always unacceptable.
As a region (The Capricorn Coast) we are continuing to experience alarming trends in relation to this issue. We are committed to challenging the acceptance of domestic and family violence in our community and want to ensure people who want advice and support can access it.
We also know it is important for the broader community to commit to supporting each other. If you are worried about someone, we are asking you to offer support simply by asking ‘can I help?’
If the answer is yes, direct the person to this website! This website has a range of different options to access support and advice. All the resources are specific to QLD and/or the Capricorn Coast.
If the answer is no, you have still shown the person that you care and that you are available when help is required.

This is a 24hr statewide free hotline staffed by professionals providing and non-judgemental telephone support to you, wherever you live in Queensland. They can arrange practical assistance such as counselling, intervention, transport and emergency accommodation for Queensland women and their children who are in danger from a violent partner or family member.

9am to midnight, 7 days per week. Mensline is a free, confidential telephone, counselling, referral and support service especially set up for men. Mensline Queensland offers professional counselling and information, and acts as a referral point for men seeking support.
Kids Helpline (4 to 25 years old) 1800 55 1800
This is a free 24hr, 7days per week helpline where you can talk to professional who will support you.
